a rose by any other name

I inherited this rose bush in our house that we rent, and I don't know a thing about roses! I don't know if I should prune it to make it bloom more, or will that make it bloom less? I don't know how to feed it or anything. Can anyone help me? What I do know is that it is beautiful when it blooms. I came home on a cloudy day to find this gorgeous bloom! It was a ray of sunshine for me :)

Stopping by from SITS. Pretty rose! We are a long way from having anything bloom around here.

I wouldn't dare give gardening advice since I seem to kill even "strong and hardy" plants...

But thanks for stopping by during my special SITS day!

I have pruned roses before but didn't want to try and confuse you with my long explanations so I found this site which takes all the information to be found everywhere else and makes it easy to follow. http://gardening.about.com/od/rose1/a/RosePruning.htm

Hope that helps!
